Interests:
- I
have developed an interest in the 17th-18th century Italian history
and theater. This is why my current dissertation is about the
greatest Italian comedy writer, Carlo Goldoni. My research is
on the identity of women and men in the Venice of the time, with
emphasis on love, courtship, marriage, family relationships, divorce
and study of the "double" as projection of the woman's
inner desires of that time in the society.
At the moment I'm an Advanced candidate to Ph.D in Italian at
UCLA. Although my passion is for 17th-18th century, my favorite
masterpiece is the "Orlando Furioso" by Ludovico Ariosto.
