Elissa Tognozzi, Ph.D.

Lecturer SOE

Elissa Tognozzi received her Ph.D. in Italian literature from UCLA in 1993 and has been a Lecturer SOE in the Department of Italian since 1997. Her duties include language instruction, undergraduate advisor, coordination of the language program and supervision of teaching assistants. In addition, she has been involved in several research projects regarding technology and foreign language pedagogy and was co-author for an on-line Italian course sponsored by ICON (Italian Culture on the Net). She has co-authored a second year Italian text, Ponti, published by Houghton Mifflin. In addition, she is Chair of the AP Italian Task Force.
