A specialist in Renaissance and Baroque literature and cultural history, Professor Elisabetta Graziosi has published extensively on issues of gender and sexuality, the cultural history of the passions and of seduction, and religious writing by women in the late Renaissance. Her books include Questioni di lessico: L’ ingegno, le passioni, il linguaggio (2004), Aminta 1573-1580 : amore e matrimonio in casa d’Este (2001) and Avventuriere a Bologna : due storie esemplari (1998). She is currently at work on a book entitled Scrittura femminile nei recinti: le rime delle monache.
